Anne visits her sister Mary Musgrove at Uppercross, where she reconnects with the Musgrove family - Charles, his mother, and his two spirited sisters, Henrietta and Louisa. Captain Wentworth arrives, now wealthy and eligible, and quickly becomes a guest at the estate.
