Xu QingΒ (born 22 January 1969) is a Chinese actress. She was accepted into the acting class ofΒ Beijing Film AcademyΒ in 1988. She made her debut in the 1990 filmΒ Life on a String, directed byΒ Chen Kaige. She graduated from Beijing Film Academy in 1992, and in that year, she was nominated for theΒ Hundred Flowers Award for Best Actress. On 30 November 2009, Xu became a contracted artiste under the talent agencyΒ Huayi Brothers. She portrayedΒ Soong Ching-lingΒ in the 2009 Chinese historical filmΒ The Founding of a Republic.
