After modeling for teen magazines, Im made her acting breakthrough inΒ Kim Jee-woon'sΒ horror filmΒ A Tale of Two SistersΒ (2003), followed by the popularΒ television dramaΒ I'm Sorry, I Love YouΒ (2004). She has since appeared in numerous films, notablyΒ Park Chan-wook'sΒ I'm a Cyborg, But That's OKΒ (2006),Β Hur Jin-ho'sΒ HappinessΒ (2007),Β Lee Yoon-ki'sΒ Come Rain, Come ShineΒ (2011), andΒ Min Kyu-dong'sΒ All About My WifeΒ (for which she won Best Actress at the 2012Β Blue Dragon Film Awards).
