Poitras has received numerous awards for her work, including the 2014Β Academy Award for Best Documentary FeatureΒ forΒ Citizenfour, aboutΒ Edward Snowden.Β whileΒ My Country, My CountryΒ received a nomination in the same category in 2007.Β She won the 2013Β George Polk AwardΒ for "national security reporting" related to theΒ NSA disclosures.
