He is known for his portrayals ofΒ Howard Stark's butler,Β Edwin Jarvis, in theΒ Marvel Cinematic UniverseΒ television seriesΒ Agent CarterΒ and the 2019 filmΒ Avengers: Endgame, and murder suspect Lee Ashworth in the second season of the ITV seriesΒ Broadchurch.
