Aisha Jamila HindsΒ (born November 13, 1975) is an American television and film actress. She began her career on television in 2003, onΒ NYPD Blue.Β In 2004, she had a recurring role onΒ The ShieldΒ as Annie Price, and later guest-starred inΒ Crossing Jordan,Β Boston Legal,Β It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia,Β Law & Order: Special Victims Unit,Β Stargate SG-1,Β Cold Case, and Desperate Housewives.Hinds was a series regular in the two short-lived ABCΒ series InvasionΒ (2005-2006), andΒ Detroit 1-8-7Β (2010-2011). She had recurring roles onΒ Dollhouse,Β HawthoRNe,Β True Blood, andΒ Cult. In film, she appeared inΒ Mr. Brooks,Β Madea Goes to Jail,Β Unstoppable, andΒ Star Trek Into Darkness. In 2013, Hinds appeared on the CW series,Β Cult, as the evil Rosalind Sakelik. Right afterΒ CultΒ was canceled, she was cast as a series regular on the CBS television seriesΒ Under the DomeΒ based on Stephen King'sΒ book of the same title.Β In 2014, she had supporting roles in filmsΒ If I StayΒ andΒ Beyond the Lights. Also in that year, she had the recurring role of Chief Investigator Ava Wallace on the CBS police procedural,Β NCIS: Los Angeles.
